lol the exorcist is a funny movie. i guess it's partly that the effects seem so poor compared to the cgi shit we see today in movies, like when her head spins 360 degrees around or when she pukes up green stuff on the priest. the dialogue and the direction is pretty awful at times too... for example:
regan (the possessed girl) stabs a crucifix up her vagina screaming "fuck me, fuck me", then smears the blood from there on her mother's face and then says to her "did you know what she did, your cunting daughter" - in a man's voice.
it seems that this blatty d00d suffered a very disturbing childhood. the movie itself lacks any sense of realism and is so ridiculous at times that it's comical.
meh =P
Definitely overrated.
Daffy is scarier.
